Associate Director, Clinical Solutions

Job Description
The Associate Director of Clinical Solutions plays a pivotal role in all aspects of Informa's clinical training solutions, including custom training and our award-winning off-the-shelf clinical training product line, which serve the business and training needs of a wide range of global pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device/diagnostics sales training clients.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Continuously maintaining and expanding clinical product (pharmaceutical, biologics, medical device/diagnostics) knowledge, expertise, and capabilities for the organization to help drive company growth and profitability
  • Overseeing the quality of custom, off-the-shelf, and hybrid clinical sales training solutions from proposal through final deliverable in multiple delivery methodologies (print, eLearning, mLearning, workshop, virtual classroom) and to support product launch training initiatives; importantly, this includes a heavy focus on developing content and instructional design/delivery methdology/ies for biopharmaceutical/medical device sales training proposals and RFP responses, and supporting an active business development team in presenting our solutions live (in person, via phone, and in web-based sessions)
  • Implementing development processes and instructional design standards for custom training projects and products
  • Identifying, coaching, and overseeing the efforts of our clinical product sales training development staff and contractors (medical writers, instructional designers, editors, eLearning programmers, graphic designers/illustrators)
  • Periodically quality review draft and final deliverables for custom/off-the-shelf programs to ensure Informa's content/instructional design standards and our clients' expectations are successfully met

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Deep and broad biopharmaceutical and medical device/diagnostics sales training expertise is required--the right candidate is one who possesses a passionate, energetic sense of mission and intellectual curiosity in science and medicine that drives their continuous expansion of knowledge in pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical device/diagnostic products, healthcare delivery, and disease management
  • Training and instructional design expertise; instructional design degree or certification (ASTD CPLP) a strong PLUS
  • Advanced healthcare-related degree or clinical background (e.g., RN, PhD, MD), and/or extensive background in medical writing, strongly preferred
  • Commitment to excellence, quality, and results-based training solutions that motivate the adult learner and drive business outcomes
  • Active listening, time management, and problem-solving/analytical skills
  • People management skills, specifically in training and coaching development teams
  • Strong communication skills, whether you are reading, writing, speaking, or negotiating
  • Customer service oriented
  • Adaptable, flexible, and strategic; comfortable working autonomously and with virtual teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Lectora) a strong PLUS
  • Proficient in AMA style, and ability to master Informa's and our clients' editorial style and reference/citation preferences and to coach internal staff and contractors and set standards/processes in this area

Associate Director, Managed Markets

Job Description

The Associate Director of Managed Markets plays a pivotal role in all aspects of Informa's managed markets training solutions, including custom training and our award-winning off-the-shelf product line, which serve the business and training needs of a wide range of global pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device/diagnostics sales training clients. Position opening is for Associate Director, but will consider entry as Director for the right candidate.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Deep and broad managed markets expertise is required--the right candidate is one who possesses a passionate, energetic sense of mission and intellectual curiosity that drives their continuous expansion of knowledge and expertise in the evolving landscape of healthcare managed markets
  • Training and instructional design expertise (workshop facilitation capacity a strong PLUS); advanced business and/or instructional design degree or certification also a strong PLUS
  • Commitment to excellence, quality, and results-based training solutions that motivate the adult learner and drive business outcomes
  • Active listening, time management, and problem-solving/analytical skills

  • Overseeing the quality of custom, off-the-shelf, and hybrid solutions from proposal through final deliverable in multiple delivery methodologies (print, eLearning, mLearning, workshop, virtual classroom); importantly, this includes a heavy focus on developing content and instructional design/delivery methdology/ies for managed markets proposals, as well as leading train-the-trainer sessions and/or facilitating workshops
  • Implementing development processes and instructional design standards for managed markets projects and products
  • Identifying and cultivating key opinion leaders/decision-makers in managed markets to serve as subject-matter experts during training development and delivery; identifying, coaching, and overseeing the efforts of managed markets development staff and contractors (writers, instructional designers, editors)
  • Periodically quality review draft and final deliverables for custom/off-the-shelf programs to ensure Informa's content/instructional design standards and our clients' expectations are successfully met
